Fat Tuesday!

It's Mardi Gras in Crystal Beach. I'm living large on Fat Tuesday! Here I am posing with my authentic New Orleans monkey head and banana beads. That's an infamous hand grenade drink next to me. Anyone who's been to Bourbon Street probably knows the effects of this unique concoction.

Here's a random shot from Laura and Mark's visit to New Orleans in 2005 (2 weeks before Katrina hit). This Beetle sure is decked out! I think we should decorate Laura's Blueberry like this. Ha ha!

Hey BM,

Did you know that Cheryl and I were married in the Quarter in New Orleans?

Hey, that "drink" looks a little like the device that Michael Phelps was "caught" with???

C'mon BM, what gives?

Willis,

Yes I remember that you were married in N.O. (when Susie and Larry lived there).

I am shocked and hurt that you think I would smoke the herb. This is a legitimate drink. Check out the Wikipedia link below. There's even a picture of it.

Thanks for your faith in me, SoCk mONkEy QuEeN. I won't let you and S'morey down.

Hi, Big Monkey!

Mom and I bought Mardi Gras cookies at the grocery store today. I asked what "Mardi Gras" meant, and Mom said "Blue and green sprinkles".

Mon and Dad had their honeymoon in New Orleans nearly 16 years ago. It was right after Mardi Gras and during Saint Patrick's day. Mom said the quarter was crazy. I wonder if she saved that quarter. Love, Noah

Noah,

I can testify that it is definitely one crazy quarter! It's French, in fact, so you could say it's foreign currency! LOL!

I'm glad you celebrated with cookies instead of hand grenades.
